It’s a very important and prestigious award which puts Selvita in the first league of the European publicly listed companies, and shows the potential of the Polish biotechnology industry from the perspective of international capital markets. I truly hope that our success will contribute to the international promotion of both Polish capital market and Polish science, as well as help build Selvita reputation among foreign investors – says Pawel Przewiezlikowski, Chief Executive Officer at Selvita.

In the Rising Star category, Selvita won with companies representing other high-tech industries, namely Planet.fr, listed on the NYSE Euronext Stock Exchange and Zalaris listed on the Norwegian Stock Exchange.

Selvita was one of the three Polish companies nominated in the final of this year’s competition. At the gala Selvita was accompanied by: LiveChat Software, nominated in Most Internationally-Minded Newcomer category, and Alumetal , nominated as the Best New Listed Company.

There was a total of 12 companies in the final of the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards, three in each of the four categories. The finalists were selected from a number of companies pre-selected and nominated by the European stock markets. Each stock exchange could submit one issuer in each category. It should be mentioned the competition included only companies which made its debut on the stock exchange in 2014.
